Low-carbon aluminium chassis underpins Dell's ultra-thin and lightweight laptop, the XPS 13

Aluminium and its usage are increasing with time. From transportation to electronics, aluminium is being used almost everywhere. The XPS 13 laptop from Dell is entirely built using CNC-machined aluminium and glass for aesthetic appeal and endurance.

Aluminium alloys used for Computer Numerical Control (CNC) turning and milling are machined aluminium. The use of CNC machined aluminium in electronics has increased significantly. Due to its excellent machinability and popularity in most manufacturing industries, aluminium is the most frequently machined material.

The XPS 13 chassis is made of low-carbon aluminium produced using hydroelectricity, a renewable energy source. This reduces carbon emissions by 70 per cent compared to aluminium chassis made in conventional coal-powered facilities, keeping Dell's long-standing commitment to minimising its environmental impact.

Dell Technologies "miniaturised" the motherboard to be 1.8 times smaller than the one present in the prior XPS 13 (a 2021 edition) to make it thinner and lighter than before. The motherboard is the tiniest one ever made and is customised for a Dell computer.

XPS 13 is equipped with Intel® EVOTM 12th Gen processors to assist consumers in completing tasks conveniently on the go. The gadget maintains the XPS look and offers an immersive entertainment experience, whether streaming music, video-chatting with friends, or watching the newest movie.

It also has an enhanced sound system and a 4-sided InfinityEdge display. The new XPS 13 is the ideal partner for effortless multitasking, thanks to enhanced battery life and a more comfortable typing experience. Inspired by nature, the Sky-coloured tinted metal on the laptop exhibits a thoughtful, minimalist style.
