China's electrolytic aluminium consumption terminals are mainly in construction, electronic power and transportation, among which aluminium in construction industry is mainly used in doors, windows, curtain wall and decoration of completed houses; in electronics and power industry, aluminium is mainly used in power supply and transmission terminal; in transportation industry it is mainly used in automobile and rail transit. The amount of aluminium used in the above three industries accounts for about 65% -70% of the actual consumption of electrolytic aluminium in China, and the amount of aluminium used in other fields such as durable consumer goods, mechanical equipment, packaging and downstream aluminium exports accounts for about 30% -35% of the actual consumption of electrolytic aluminium in China.

At the same time, according to the Shanghai Nonferrous Metals network, due to the impact of real estate policies such as "housing without speculation", the proportion of aluminium used in China's construction industry continued to decline, falling from 40% in 2017 to 27% in 2020.With the development of the new energy vehicle industry and the continuous promotion of automobile lightweight, the proportion of aluminium used in the transportation industry continues to rise, rising from 14% in 2017 to 23% in 2020. In addition, the rapid development of new energy industry, mainly photovoltaic, and the promotion of power grid construction also make the proportion of aluminium used in electronics and power industries rise steadily.
