Due to a series of advantages such as easy processing, small density, high strength, good electrical conductivity, excellent corrosion resistance, nontoxicity and so on, the application scope of aluminium in the construction industry is constantly expanding and aluminium is constantly replacing other materials. At present, aluminium used in the construction industry mainly involves doors and windows, curtain walls and decoration of completed houses.

As we all know, the construction cycle of real estate is about 3 years. Generally, the new construction of housing can be used to predict the completion of housing in three years, and then calculate the amount of aluminium used in the construction industry. Forecasts from the Real Estate Group of CITIC Securities' Research Department indicate that the growth rate of housing completion area in China will be 6.5% in 2022, a decline in growth compared to 2021, but still remaining in the expansion range. Then as the completion cycle comes to an end, the year-on-year growth in housing completion area is expected to slow down in 2023-2025, and aluminium demand in the construction industry will remain stable or decline slightly.
