Incat Tasmania, founded by Robert Clifford, is a renowned Australian manufacturer of high-speed, lightweight catamarans that has revolutionized maritime engineering. Incat specializes in high-speed, lightweight Aluminium passenger ferries and is synonymous with innovation and sustainability. "The real focus is on using Aluminium because it provides us with a lightweight product that allows us to operate vessels at high speeds. Our current enthusiasm is to build vessels for the future that will achieve zero emissions and reduce emissions," added Stephen Casey, CEO of Incat.

According to Aluminium Expo, Incat is headquartered in Derwent Park, Hobart, and boasts the largest indoor shipyard in the Southern Hemisphere. The facility includes five large production workshops, strategically located on the waterfront of Prince of Wales Bay, facilitating seamless vessel launch and sea trials.

Their long-term partnership with Australia's leading Aluminium supplier, Capral Aluminium, is crucial in this approach, highlighting the importance of high-quality materials in shipbuilding. Capral supplies marine-grade Aluminium alloys, specifically 5083 and 5383, which are essential for the structural integrity and performance of Incat vessels. These alloys offer superior strength and are DNV-certified, ensuring they meet stringent international standards.
