According to the aluminium conference, the annual output of 430,000 tons of aluminium-based new materials project is one of the key projects of Yulin New Materials Group to play the advantages of the integrated industrial chain of ‘coal-electricity-aluminium’, and layout of the high-end manufacturing industry with the industrial five-level chain extension and product five-type innovation clusters as the core. The project adopts electrolytic aluminium liquid to directly produce various kinds of ingots, extends the chain of aluminium products, increases the company's product variety, improves the added value of products, and enhances the competitiveness of the market.

After the project is completed and put into operation, it mainly produces deformed aluminium and aluminium alloy flat ingots, cast and rolled strips, aluminium alloy ingots, deformed aluminium alloy round ingots, etc. Compared with the traditional process, it exempts the remelting link of the aluminium ingots, reduces the energy consumption and metal burning, shortens the processing flow, reduces the cost of production, and the process is mature, and the technology and equipment are safe and reliable.

According to the introduction, the project is divided into two phases of construction, a period of construction, including: the new 42,800 square meters of industrial plant, 6,000 square meters of building, 200,000 tons / year deformed aluminium and aluminium alloy flat ingots, 100,000 tons / year casting and rolling strips; the second phase of the construction, including: 100,000 tons / year casting of aluminium alloy ingots, 30,000 tons / year of high-strength heat-resistant aluminium alloy rods containing scandium and 600,000 tons / year of electrolysis aluminium liquid purification, and so on.

Xue Shengwei, deputy director of engineering management department of alloy branch of Yulin New Materials Group, said that the progress of main plant of flat ingot workshop of 430,000-ton aluminium-based new materials project has been completed by 95%, and the construction of main plant, roof and wall panels has been completed, and the tail projects such as ventilator colour plate, doors and windows are being constructed according to the nodes; the equipment foundation of 35-ton aluminium alloy flat ingot production line has been completed by 75%, and the equipment foundation of 75-ton and 110-ton aluminium alloy flat ingot production line has been completed by 30%. The main plant of casting and rolling workshop is 95% completed. The main equipment of the project has been equipped with delivery conditions.
