Baotou North China Aluminium Technology Co., Ltd.'s annual 91,000-ton high-performance aluminium alloy cast-rolled coil project began production at the end of last year, primarily manufacturing high-end aluminium plates, strips, and foils, thereby filling a significant gap in Northwest China. Since this spring, the company has sustained a high production pace, keeping its production lines bustling. Inside the workshop, eight large rolling mills operate seamlessly, producing rolls of finished aluminium plates and strips amidst the thunderous noise of machinery, while operators diligently document equipment parameters. Since its launch at the end of 2023, the project has achieved a daily output of 280 to 300 tons. Zhang Chao, Director of the Comprehensive Department at Baotou North China Aluminium Technology Co., Ltd., states, "Our strategy is immediate production upon trial completion and meeting standards right from the start. We are committed to manufacturing high-quality products for new energy sectors."

As reported by the Aluminium Conference, the North China Aluminium high-performance aluminium alloy cast-rolled coil project represents a total investment of 280 million yuan and spans 100 acres, mainly focusing on constructing casting-rolling and cold-rolling production lines. The products are extensively utilized in new energy vehicle batteries, energy storage batteries, electronics, and pharmaceuticals, addressing the high-end plate, strip, and foil market gap in Northwest China.

Xia Weihua, General Manager of Baotou North China Aluminium Technology Co., Ltd., remarks, "The Baotou Municipal Committee, Municipal Government, Donghe District committees, district governments, and the Aluminium Industry Park Management Committee have played a crucial role in safeguarding our enterprises during their operational startup. The second phase of the project is progressing rapidly, enhancing the depth of the local processing industry chain. Presently, Donghe District is bustling with numerous high-quality projects underway. This year, the district plans to implement 46 major projects with a total investment nearing 29 billion yuan, including 33 industrial projects totaling an investment of 23.57 billion yuan, with a planned annual investment of 14.26 billion yuan—representing the highest level of industrial project activity, total investment, and annual investment in recent years."
