Aluminium Expo | Binzhou City: Supporting the Development of the Recycled Aluminum Industry
On April 15th, a symposium on the high-quality development of the aluminum industry was held in Binzhou City. The meeting was chaired by Lei Can, a member of the Party Group and Deputy Director of the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology. It was attended by responsible comrades and department heads from relevant county (city, district) Bureaus of Industry and Information Technology, municipal development zone bureaus, and leaders of key alumina and recycled aluminum enterprises.
Officials from the relevant counties (cities, districts) discussed the current status, challenges, and future plans for the comprehensive utilization of red mud and the development of the recycled aluminum industry. Key enterprises shared their experiences regarding advanced technologies, projects, and future directions in these areas.
The meeting emphasized two main points: Firstly, to continuously strengthen the comprehensive utilization of red mud. Counties, cities, and enterprises should be proactive in addressing challenges and outline methods for utilization. Enterprises should leverage their resources and technological advantages, intensify cooperation with universities and research institutes to find breakthroughs, and ensure the early implementation of planned projects. Local governments should develop comprehensive plans to support red mud utilization projects. Secondly, to support the development of the recycled aluminum industry, local authorities need to closely monitor key projects for the year, provide follow-up services, and expedite their operational effectiveness. They should also utilize leading companies like Weiqiao and Innovation to promote collaboration and development among recycled aluminum businesses through various exchanges and training events.
According to Aluminium Expo, the Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology will continue to emphasize green development, implement provincial and municipal mandates on ecological protection and high-quality development along the Yellow River basin, improve the level of comprehensive industrial resource utilization, focus on both the red mud and recycled aluminum industries, and promote the transformation and upgrade of the city's aluminum industry towards intelligence, green processes, and high-end production. This effort aims to create a more competitive industrial cluster and inject stronger momentum into the high-quality development of the city’s industrial economy.
