Aluminium Expo |The 30 billion Pop Can Project Aids in Continuously Extending the Chain of China's "Aluminum Capital"

The Henan Airuihai New Materials Co., Ltd.'s project, with an annual production of 30 billion pop cans, is a new project in the Huiguo Town Park of the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Development Zone in Gongyi City. It is also a significant investment attraction project for Gongyi City, successfully revolving around the industrial chain and attracting business through business. The project was put into operation in 2023 and achieved an outstanding performance, yielding 10 million yuan in taxes in its inaugural year.

The project was attracted by Wanda Aluminum Industry, located in the same park, and realizes the local cooperation of deep processing of aluminum materials, extending the high-standard, deep-processing chain of the aluminum industry.

According to Aluminium Expo, the annual production of 30 billion super pop cans by Henan Airuihai New Materials Co., Ltd. is a major investment attraction project for Gongyi City, focusing on the industrial chain and attracting business through business. Located in the Huiguo Town Park of the Advanced Manufacturing Industry Development Zone in Gongyi City, the project covers an area of 114 acres with a total construction area of about 200,000 square meters and a total investment of 2 billion yuan. The construction period is planned from September 2022 to December 2025, with the project being constructed in two phases. In the first phase, it is planned to build factories and office buildings covering 70,000 square meters, and to introduce three new advanced domestic pop can coating production lines, three slitting lines, three wave-cutting lines, three printing and coating lines, and one finished product packaging line. The first phase of the project has been partially completed and put into operation, adding two coating production lines and auxiliary production lines, constructing the widest coating production line in China, and a full-process longitudinal cutting, sheet cutting, and sheet coating production line. The plan for the second phase is to build pop can body material production lines and related supporting facilities, with planning and design already completed and construction expected to start soon.

It is estimated that once the project reaches full production, it is expected to achieve more than 50% of the domestic market share and more than 15% of the international market share within the next three years; and more than 60% of the domestic market share and more than 25% of the international market share within the next five years. Currently, Gongyi City has more than 200 aluminum processing enterprises and around 700 aluminum processing supporting enterprises, with the annual main business income exceeding 100 billion yuan. There are four enterprises among China's top ten aluminum plate and strip companies, forming a relatively complete industrial chain from aluminum processing to aluminum end products. The technology of the produced aluminum plate, strip, and foil intermediate products has reached an international leading level, making it the largest production base of aluminum plate, strip, and foil in China.
