aluminium show |Southwest Aluminum's automotive panels have been granted A-level supplier qualification
Following preliminary engineering validation, Southwest Aluminum's 5-series and 6-series automotive panels have successfully obtained A-level supplier qualification for a specific project from a well-known customer. This not only affirms the quality, technology, and service of Southwest Aluminum's automotive panels but also greatly recognizes the overall strength of Southwest Aluminum.
In recent years, Southwest Aluminum has seized the opportunity presented by the explosive growth of new energy vehicles, deepening its presence in the automotive panel market, accelerating the development of new production capacities, and continuously enhancing its new driving forces. The production and sales volume of automotive panels have been steadily increasing. As early as before 2010, Southwest Aluminum began researching aluminum materials for automotive bodies. It was one of the earliest domestic aluminum processing companies to do so. Southwest Aluminum has established a specialized production line for automotive lightweight aluminum and has the capacity to produce 100,000 tons of aluminum sheets for automotive bodies annually, enabling bulk supply of aluminum sheets for automotive bodies.
According to information from the aluminium show, Southwest Aluminum has continuously conducted material development and applied technology research for automotive aluminum sheets. They have mastered the fundamental theories and methods for controlling the organization and surface quality of aluminum sheets for automotive body panels. This has resulted in multiple series of automotive body panel products whose performance matches the level of advanced aluminum processing companies abroad. Currently, Southwest Aluminum has completed material certifications with more than 10 automotive manufacturers, and their products have been used in various joint ventures and domestically produced new energy vehicles. They have also established cooperative relationships with over 10 testing organizations and research institutes, including China Automotive Technology & Research Center, Institute of Metals Research of the Chinese Academy of Sciences, Nonferrous Metal Research Institute, and Tsinghua University Suzhou Research Institute, laying a solid foundation for expanding into the new energy vehicle market in the future. Southwest Aluminum will continue to strive for excellence in providing higher-quality services to its customers.
