aluminium expo|Wanshun New Materials: Jiangsu Zhongji and Anhui Zhongji, two production bases, will together form a total aluminum foil production capacity of 255,000 tons
According to financial news on January 18th, Wanshun New Materials disclosed in their investor relations activity records that aluminum processing is currently the largest segment in the company's business. They have established an integrated aluminum processing industry chain from aluminum sheets (aluminum foil blanks) to aluminum foil, and further extended into the production of carbon-coated foils. Among them, Jiangsu Zhongji focuses on packaging aluminum foil with existing capacity of 83,000 tons. Anhui Zhongji primarily focuses on battery aluminum foil, with a total planned capacity of 172,000 tons. Within this, the 72,000-ton high-precision electronic aluminum foil production project in the second phase began equipment operation in December 2023 and is gradually ramping up production, leveraging its scale advantages. The annual production of 100,000 tons of power and energy storage battery foil project is under rapid construction, with two rolling mill mechanical components recently arriving and entering the installation phase. The plan is to complete construction comprehensively this year.
According to information from the aluminium expo, once all the projects are completed, Jiangsu Zhongji and Anhui Zhongji's two bases will have a total aluminum foil production capacity of 255,000 tons. The company is strategically focusing on the development potential of the functional film product market. Markets for products such as car body films, conductive films for automotive sunroof dimming, and high-barrier films have already opened up, resulting in increased sales and further expanding the business opportunities in functional film development.
