aluminium expo|Breaking through the bottleneck of primary aluminum resources, the first train of aluminum ingots from Xinjiang to Guangyuan has been successfully launched
According to aluminium expo, on January 15th, the 81508-7 aluminum ingot train, carrying over 2,500 tons of aluminum ingots, arrived at the South Station of Guangyuan Railway Station, marking the successful launch of the first scheduled aluminum ingot train from Xinjiang to Guangyuan. This train, driven by the efforts of the governments and relevant departments of Xinjiang and Guangyuan, was jointly operated by Shenzhen Zhonghaitong Logistics Co., Ltd. and Guangyuan Municipal Park Construction Investment Group. It departed from Sanping Station in Urumqi, Xinjiang on January 10th, 2024, passing through Yining East, Tacheng, Emin, Letuyi , and Ulan Wusu, covering a journey of over 2,500 kilometers. The train, consisting of 50 sets of 20-foot containers, will run regularly, with four trips per month, expected to transport 250,000 tons of aluminum ingots from Xinjiang to Guangyuan annually.
"Previously, transporting aluminum ingots from Xinjiang to Guangyuan would take at least ten days. With the opening of this aluminum ingot train, it only takes three to four days, significantly shortening the logistics and transportation cycle of aluminum ingot resources. This not only meets the timeliness of raw material demands for the city's aluminum processing enterprises but also reduces their production costs. More importantly, it provides raw material support for attracting more high-quality aluminum deep processing enterprises to settle in Guangyuan," said the head of Guangyuan Municipal Park Construction Investment Group Co., Ltd. After the train arrives in Guangyuan, the aluminum ingots are directly transferred to the China Western (Guangyuan) Aluminum Ingot Trading Center, directly supplying midstream and downstream aluminum processing enterprises.
